最新版本的DragonFly BSD 1.6已经发布，这是DragonFly BSD的第四个重要发行版。DragonFly BSD的发行策略就是尽量再发行分支中减少bug的数量，在DragonFly BSD 1.6中，用户看到的最大的变化是：一个新的随机数生成器；对大部分802.11无线模块的支持、然后还有就是对内核中bug的修复。该发行版中另外一个最大的变化就是内置了锁功能... ....(We also made significant progress in pushing the big giant lock inward and made extensive modifications to the kernel infrastructure with an eye towards DragonFly's main clustering and userland VFS goals. )我们相信，最新版本比1.4版本要稳定。
