在年初4月份的时候，红帽公司宣布开始一项培养ISV合作伙伴的计划，计划将红帽欧洲的非直销模式增加到70%。在过去的6个月中，获得红帽认证的ISV合作伙伴数量竟然以高达122%的速度增长。
Red Hat公司企业解决方案部的执行副总Tim Yeaton认为，在几乎所有的行业，对开源软件的需求都在增长，特别在2006年，医疗、电信、金融服务等行业逐渐浮现处水面，成为开源软件企业部署的最大客户。
作为ISV企业InterSystems的策略规划副总Paul Grabscheid，在发言中说，我们和红帽的合作，确保了我们可以和业界最优秀的Linux企业为我们的客户提供最优秀、更灵活的企业部署。
Open source software giant Red Hat has claimed its ISV partner ecosystem has experienced ‘record’ growth in the past six months.
The firm, which earlier this year announced plans to shift to a 70 per cent indirect model in Europe (CRN, 10 April), said the numbers of certified ISV partners have increased by 122 per cent in the past six months.
Tim Yeaton, executive vice-president of enterprise solutions at Red Hat, said: “Demand for open source is happening in virtually all industry sectors. But in 2006, healthcare, telecoms and financial services emerged as the top industries for enterprise adoption of open source.”
Paul Grabscheid, vice-president of strategic planning at ISV InterSystems, said in a statement: “Our partnership with Red Hat allows us to ensure the highest levels of scalability for our customers with a Linux offering from the market leader.”
